	Duration: Two Hours Set sail for the Humpback Highway Discover the wonderful world of humpback whales on an exciting and education sea cruise from uShaka Marine World The Call of the Whale The oceans off Durban were once the hunting grounds for the largest land-based whaling stations on earth. Now, 40 years after the Indian Ocean was declared a whale sanctuary these animals are thriving. Every winter hundreds of Humpback whales make a great journey up from the freezing Antarctic waters and pass the warm tropical ocean just off Durban. This is the “Humpback Highway” where we may encounter these 40 ton animals, singing and breaching as part of their courting ritual. In addition we see resident bottlenose dolphins year round, in large playful pods. Look out for albatross, Cape gannet, sub Antarctic skua, Terns as well as predators associated with the sardine run such as common dolphins, Brydes and Minke whales. Our vessel is a Ballistic semi-rigid inflatable, certified by SAMSA.
